I believe counseling is a collaborative process and starts in the first session as we work together to understand your concerns. My first intention for you is to feel empowered, nurtured, and strengthened by the work we do together. Together we will work on resolving difficult issues to promote increased self-awareness, understanding, and connection. I use an integrative approach to counseling, tailoring each session to meet my clients with compassionate and attuned care. Currently I have a private practice in Fort Collins, CO, in traditional talk therapy and psychedelic integration. I often feel inspired by the courage which brings people in to my office. In today's fast paced world, individuals are expected to do more in the same amount of time. As a result, we are engaging in less self-care and over time chronic levels of stress can result in increased periods of anxiety, depression, and even chronic illness. My passion is to provide support to those facing emotional dysregulation and/or chronic illness. Because the mind-body connection is so powerful, I believe in a holistic path to healing; a path where the mind, body and spirit is embraced in the work that we will do together. I primarily use a combination of mindfulness, cognitive behavioral therapy, and somatic approaches. Over the last 20 years, I have worked extensively in a variety of healthcare settings including long-term care, hospice, and an acute care hospital setting. Working in a variety of healthcare settings has provided me with a unique lens into the many needs and adversities that individuals encounter in the US healthcare system. I believe that the ability to heal oneself lies within all of us; the therapist is a guide and the client is the driver. I have additional training in trauma-informed care and am fully committed to receiving ongoing education in order to provide excellent mental health services. Please don't hesitate to reach out to me for a free 15 min phone consultation.

Almost all of my clients have one thing in common. They want better, gentler, more fulfilling relationships. Whether they are struggling from the effects of trauma, working to enrich or save a marriage, navigating the divorce process, dealing with depression and/or anxiety, learning new social skills, or simply trying to be better parents, they want a deeper and more peaceful sense of connection with themselves and others. My clients are intelligent and thoughtful people who tend to connect with the natural world. They are often seeking to grow as well as to heal. They want to thrive rather than simply survive. I see my job as helping you create peace from the inside out. I do this by combining deep trauma work (using Brainspotting and/or equine therapy) , with nuts and bolts relational skills coaching. I enjoy developing honest high integrity relationships with my clients. My professional style is warm and direct and I tend to cut to the chase. I know choosing a therapist can be hard. I would be honored to earn your trust and help you in your journey.

As a licensed psychologist, I work with clients who seek therapy for a number of different reasons: they might be brought in to therapy by work stress, a recent loss of a relationship, or an ongoing battle with depression or anxiety. Through our work together, I see clients recover from these concerns. And as we continue along in our work, I also see something deeper happen. We peel back layers of the proverbial onion together, and clients come to a greater sense of self-knowledge and fulfillment in their life and their relationships. I view it as my role to partner with you as you work towards greater self-understanding and growth. I believe that relationships have enormous power to heal and this belief informs my approach in therapy. Above all else, I believe that everyone who walks into my office has an innate wisdom and ability to change their life for the better. I believe that the choice to pursue therapy is a courageous one. I also recognize that finding the right therapist can feel like a daunting task. I invite you to reach out to me to discuss whether we might be a good fit.

I am a licensed clinical social worker and somatic practitioner with a passion for nature-based services, spiritual practices, and expressive arts. People are free to discover and share their life experiences in a safe and honoring environment. Sharing one's pain and experiences can be hard, and I strive to be a compassionate, warm and understanding listener. Each person's life story is sacred, and there are a myriad of gifts waiting to be discovered and embraced. Much of my work is with Highly Sensitive People and empathic intuitives. View 16 Photos Part of what makes my approach unique is that I specialize in somatic practices and nature-based therapy (ecotherapy). This type of therapy involves sessions that are outside and may include walking, hiking, and other activities. Ecotherapy sessions take place at my office at Wilder-Nest Retreats located in the foothills west of Fort Collins near Masonville. As a somatic practitioner, I believe that trauma is experienced and stored in the body. The mind tends to shut down trauma experiences without allowing full sequencing of the trauma. Using a variety of techniques, I assist people in re-establishing a sense of safety and allowing trauma to be released.

Hours are Thursdays & Fridays only. I believe we are created to be in relationship with others. It is something we all desire and pursue as relationships are at the core of our identity as human beings. Relationships can bring us great joy or profound sadness. There is no greater pain and loneliness than to be in an unfulfilling relationship and no greater joy than to have a deep connection with others. If you are in a relationship that isn't working, want to understand what is causing your struggle and find ways to reconnect, please let me know. The best way to reach me is through email. My greatest desire is to assist individuals and couples to work through issues that are important, find ways to resolve differences and reconnect. I practice an integrative model of therapy and use a variety of interventions based on your needs. Currently I see clients both on line and in person. When we can accept our own imperfections and those imperfections of others, love deepens. When we can share our deepest fears and most pressing needs - and be heard - emotional intimacy occurs. When we can truly be ourselves and allow others to do the same, joy happens. We can once again experience those deep connections that make life so meaningful.
